Belated Father's Day

I know, it was yesterday but I still felt like I needed to express my gratitude for the Father's in my life- first my own, I have always been such a Daddy's girl- I am so grateful to him- thank you for always making it possible for Mom to stay at home with us, and for sending her flowers just so that we knew how much you love her. Thank you for always striving for perfection and for helping us also strive for it. Thank you for always supporting us, even if you didn't agree with our decisions. Thank you for crying during movies so that I could see the softer side of you. Thanks for being such a great Grandpa- and spending time playing with KyLee- and for taking me to the hospital when Jeramey was in Arizona and for holding Ky just because it brings you joy!

Dad Finch - thanks for always being there to help us, thanks for taking us to Disneyland just because you like to spend time with us. Thanks for teaching your son the value of hard work and the importance of spending quality time with your family. Thank you for being such a great Grandpa who loves all of his grandchildren, and plays with them - comforts them when they are upset and of course spoils them !! Thanks for giving us the opportunity to be home owners and for letting me pick the carpet, paint and tile just because you wanted me to be happy. I am truely blessed to have you in our lives !

Last but not least Jeramey ( not that he will EVER read this ) I just wanted to say how blessed I am to have a husband that loves being a Daddy- and his little princess loves working in the garage with him, and riding dirtbikes with him- Thank you for working so hard to support us- and for playing so hard to show us how important it is to take the time to play- thank you for always laughing at me when I get mad ( even though at the time it makes me even more mad) and for understanding me when I don't think that I am making any sense - thanks for playing with KyLee at the park, not just watching while she plays. Thanks for smiling and getting excited to see us everytime you come home from work!
Of course I am also so grateful for my Grandpa's and Jeramey's Grandpa's - they made us who we are !!

Women in the outdoors!!

So really - I don't seem to be an outdoor woman- but now that I have been to a convention I guess I can claim that I am !! I had SO much fun!!! Kimmie invited me to go with her- and of course now I have to go every year! Here are a couple of pictures... I seriously have issues...( don't worry I won't start on that) there is a group one but I can't get it to upload- so first picture is of our roomies- kimmie and I got one bunk bed and Bri and Jenn got the other one- we stayed up until after 1:00 am - we had so much fun laughing, crying, and of course telling scary stories- I even sang them to sleep ( he he he no I wasn't drinking !) so Saturday we had fabulous dutch oven burritos for breakfast- and then I took Archery ( that was WAY fun!! props to Scott at TSI) I happen to be really biased towards TSI Outfitters since it is my friend Launi's Family buisness. Then we took Self defense- watch out psycho's!! my hands are now my greatest weapons..... and I will take you out!! uh huh .... then we had lunch from great harvest. Our next class was dutchoven cooking!! yummmyyyyyy! I learned so much and ate way tooo much- the people who taught the class were way funny too. The last class we took was Horseback riding ! I love horses, I will not admit to being an expert rider, but I love riding them slowly, there is something serene and calming about it- my horses name was Andrew( good thing kimmie remembered his name) and he was white and liked to go a little faster then everyone else, but I really , really enjoyed it. We had just enough time to take a quick shower to rinse off and then head to dinner and the raffel. It was held at the East Canyon Resort this year- and it was beautiful! THANKS to Kimmie for bringing me home safely and not letting the mountain lions get me ! and thanks to Pam, Kristin,Bri, Jenn,Lynn,Cynthia, and Joni for letting me join your party!

8 quirks .....

So I got tagged again.. thanks Ang- now I have to think....
I am sure I have soooo many quirks I can't pick 8 of them- but it might be easier to have Jeramey list them-

1- I have a hard time with the decorating rule that says you have to do everything in sets of 3- can't deal with odd numbers- even looks much better to me.
2- I love the smell of Coffee- I think it is my Schmidt's Pastry Cottage days... I used to have to make it every morning.
3- when I ask Jeramey to do something for me I want it done now- not in his time- and if he doesn't do it now, I end up doing it and I am ticked off the whole time I do it.
4- I don't sleep- ever- I worry too much , or think too much.. I even take sleeping pills they don't work. but I function pretty well on only a couple of hours of sleep.
5-I can't do things out of order- when I go to Sam's Club- or the grocery store I go the same way every time even if I just have to get milk. ( I even write my grocery list in order of the isles I go down)
6-I love Disneyland- I don't even care if I ride any rides I love being there, I love to watch the people and I love to see how much KyLee enjoys herself and the joy in her face when she experiences something new .
7-I hate when pictures are crooked or somebody ties a bow funny- I don't care where I am - or most of the time who it is , I will re-tie it or straighten it.
8-I love to laugh!! I love to hear Ky laugh I can't help but just giggle with her- I enjoy being silly- but I will only do it for her and my nieces and nephews...

SO that is about all I can think of... nothing too exciting!!! but I tag Kimmie , Misty , Jenn Burell, Jennifer Smart, and Erika Kennard.
I really do have so much to blog about but I don't want to until I have pictures.... so hopefully sometime in the future!!!!

Race for the Cure, Dance recitals, Mother's Day and Weddings!!

Wow!! the last two weeks have FLOWN by!! Friday May 9th KyLee had her dance recital, so cute!!! She loves when people pay attention to her! she is a show off- good thing she remembered her dance!!
So you all know that I have been training for a marathon- so my first test was a 5k- my Dad and I walkeded it last year (it was the day after Derricks wedding and we were TIRED) but our goal was to run it this year, and Jeramey decided at the last minute he wanted to run too- we did it in 38 minutes- it was kind of hard to get around all of the walkers but I love the race for the cure. It is so inspiring to me - I see so many people that I know from work, and their families, and then there are the families of the people who lost their battle with cancer who walk in rememberance of them- and of course it is for a good cause-
Sunday of course was Mother's day - and I have to say, it was the first Mother's day since I have been a Mother that I actually felt special on Mother's day - I am grateful for my sweet husband who spent time with me and made me feel special !! thanks sweetheart!! and of course my sweet Ky who made me flowers out of kisses and cards with her hands- I love being a Mom!!

Wedding!! Adam and Tahnie got married on Saturday! it was so beautiful! Tahnie was absolutely stunning! and cute Adam cried when he saw her walk down the isle -- the weather was beautiful. KyLee and Ana were such good flower girls, and Ethan was a funny ring bearer- the music was jazzy the food delicious and the atmosphere was fun! Needless to say the day was perfect! I hope they have a fabulous honeymoon!! I can't wait to see them when they get home!

I am so proud of my brother Brandon for graduating for the University of Utah - he got his bachelors in Buisness- Heather had a welcome home party as well as a graduation party ( he has been in New York for 4 months training) on Friday night and I love having all of my family together! it is nice to have Brandon home, it is amazing how if one person or family is missing at family get together's it is not quite the same! He is working at Goldman Saks (sp?)
I also got the opportunity to go to Jenn's graduation ( my brother Derrick's cute wife) she graduated with a bachelors in Art from Utah State University - and has a job with a design company in Salt Lake that she started yesterday.She is amazingly talented!!! We are so happy that they live closer now too- they are living in farmington with Jenn's dad for now .
I am so proud of every body's accomplishments in our families- I love our families- I am truely blessed to have the in-laws that I have in both Jeramey's family and mine-
It is just over a week until Adam and Tahnie get married - I can't wait to celebrate with them too!!!

Jeramey's Mom and Dad just celebrated their 34th anniversary ( I think) and of course they went to Disneyland to celebrate with Jeramey's sisters Jennie and Katie and their families!! I am also blessed to have them in my life- and I am grateful of course for their son !!
