Funny KyLee story.....

On Saturday I had a Relief Society Board meeting at my house and after it was over, I was cleaning everything up while Ky was drinking left over apple juice out of a plastic cup.. the conversation went like this:

Ky: I hope everyone recycled their cups..

Mom: um where did that come from?

Ky: there is a recycle sign on the bottom of the cup...

Mom: Oh , where did you learn that from?

Ky: George ( Curious Geroge)

Mom: actually I only had one garbage out it was just easier that way..

Ky: Mom!! DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT THE ENBIRONMENT!!! ( no I didn't spell it wrong, that is how she says it... I should probably correct it, but I think it is cute!! )

Mom: yes, I will be better next time...

Ky: good!

So we have lived in our house for 2 years in May and even before we moved in I had an idea of how I wanted to decorate Ky's room. Since we lived at my Mom and Dad's I didn't want to paint and decorate her room just in time to leave it. So Jeramey finally had the tools he needed to finish her bed and I LOVE it!! I think it is my favorite room in the house!!

My weekend started early on Wednesday because I got called AGAIN and had to appear AGAIN on Jury duty! thankfully case got dismissed and I got home earlier than if I was working, so I could get ready for a girls weekend in St.George.

I helped at Ky's school on Thursday morning then dropped Ky off at Misty's ( thanks sis!) picked Launi up and headed down to St.George.

Launi's Father in Law has a condo there so that is where we stayed.( thank goodness we didn't get stuck in Leeds this time!) I drove and there were no car troubles! We never do a whole lot, just talk a lot, watch chick flicks and do some shopping. We did go and see "He's just not that into you" I really liked it, and I am sure that Jeramey really liked that he didn't have to take me to it!! On Saturday we had brunch at the Bear Paw it was FABULOUS! hmmm it makes me want to eat it now!! then drove into Vegas. I am not really a huge fan of Vegas , but we just parked at Cesars Palace and walked down to the Forum Shops. It is so nice to just take our time and look at whatever we want even if it is WAY out of price range. Launi and I did find it funny that the only things we did purchase the whole weekend were for our kids and our husbands!! ( they never really are out of our thoughts ). Thanks Jer for letting us go, and thanks Launi for such a great weekend!

Jeramey and KyLee seemed to have a great time while I was gone. In fact she slept all night long and even slept in! Jeramey and Ky have so much fun playing I am sure she was tuckered out! Ky got to spend time on Saturday with Grandma Finch and Great Grandma Duck ( Nola's mom). Ky keeps saying that she wishes that both of her Grandma's lived closer so she could see them both every day. She already gets to see my Mom 3 days a week, but apparently that isn't enough. Especially since she only gets to see Grandma Finch once a week and that certainly is not enough!

I brought my camera with the intention of taking pictures in St.George , but I didn't even take one! Sorry, I think Launi took one of me in front of Tiffany's , and we actually saw a Elvis impersonator... but that was it!!

So the weekend of Jer's birthday was busy, like usual. On Saturday we went out to dinner with Cory and Chelle( Chelle and Jer share the same birthday) at Red Lobster! yumo! Brandon and Heather were kind enough to watch KyLee for us. Apparently we didn't stay out long enough because she was not excited to see us when we came to pick her up! She had so much fun just playing with them. I thought that they might need a little practice since they are having a baby GIRL in June!! We are so excited!! Katie is having a baby boy ( Jer's sister) in May and we can hardly wait to hold all of these babies!!

Then Sunday KyLee could hardly wait to have Jer open his gifts, he only got 2 since he is so hard to buy for!( he always just gets what he wants anyway) one was a remote control dirtbike that Ky picked out and the other was skull candy ear phones for his ipod.

Since it was the week that we have Sunday dinner with my family, I just had everyone over to our house for a Mexican taco dinner! Jeramey's favorite! I just ordered the meat from a place called Rico's so it was pretty easy to put together.

Jeramey usually doesn't like cake but this year he requested a motorcross track with a dirtbike on it!! ( my first reaction was ... and how old are we??) But I know he partly requested it because he knew Ky would love it and the other part is because he still loves dirtbikes just about more than anything else in life! Thankfully my friend Launi is good at decorating cakes and has all of the fun stuff to decorate cakes with because she helped a lot!! I couldn't have done it without her!

Thanks to all of our friends and family that sent happy birthday wishes, he said he had a great day!( even though he made me take his dirtbike back!) he did get some new clothes, money from my mom and dad and new riding gear from his parents. I think the only thing that would have made it better was if his new bike had been shipped so he could have ridden it this weekend!

This past weekend was kind of boring, I did go and see Twilight for the second time with Kimmie, Jan ( baby Lucas) and Kathy, it is always fun to hang out with the girls!

Jeramey took me out to dinner at Cafe Rio and a movie "Taken" courtesy of our Christmas present from Adam and Tahnie which included them watching KyLee for us. THANK YOU A and T!! of course Ky never wants the nights to end when she gets to play with someone besides Mom and Dad! ummm that is the update on us!!! hope everyone else is doing well!!

I know , this is a little early, his birthday is actually January 25th but i don't know that I will have any time between now and then to do a post. Here are 34 things i love about him:

16-let's me have my own money to spend every month so I don't go crazy!

Sweet Madi pie!

I can't believe it! my niece and nephew are 6 years old!! they are a tender mercy in our lives and we are so blessed to have them! just a little background , for those of you who don't know my sister and brother in law adopted them after losing their first baby Olivia on June 4th 2002(mmm i think that is the year). I still remember I was leaving work and I saw that I had a missed phone call from Misty, and I thought oh my gosh! she has a baby! and when I called her she said I have 2 babies! a boy and a girl!! Misty and Doug were living in California so I booked a flight for the next week, when I got to their house I saw a very sleep deprived Grandma and Mommy! I couldn't get enough of their sweet little faces!! they were so tiny! and of course me being the Auntie had to put a bow on Ana first thing! I am so glad that they moved to Utah so that I can see them all of the time. KyLee loves them and fights with them like they are siblings sometimes. I love Ana's sweet little personality and how she will just give me loves for no reason. I LOVE Ethan's laugh! It can make everyone around him laugh too especially at prayer time.

Another one of my nieces Madison just turned 9. It is so crazy how quickly she grew up! When Jeramey and I had just started dating Katie was pregnant with her. She has grown up to be such a smart, sassy beautiful girl. I love that she loves to learn and loves school and that she invents games to play and that she still cries sometimes when she doesn't get her way( her Mom and Dad don't love that but I do!).
